K-Mart to Start Double coupons July 5, 2009

Some blogs are reporting that K-Mart will start the highly anticipated double coupon week on July 5. Here's where you can double all those $1.00 coupons, and here's where the shelves will be empty of the good deals by noon the first day. So, plan ahead and get there as early as possible.

School is keeping me way too busy, too tired, and even a little discouraged. I'll post more at end of week.

Happy $1.00 shopping,
~Linda

Free Food at Kroger and Meijer. Thanks, Buffy

Between school and getting ready to photograph a very big wedding this weekend, I'm swamped, but my friend, Buffy, sent some good information for Good Deals in the Columbus, Ohio, area this week. (Not much time left. Sorry.)

Kroger deals go through Monday, June 28 at 7 a.m. . Meijer deals end at Sunday at 6 a.m., so you have Saturday night to get his week's sales at Meijers.

Here's the information Buffy sent us.

"I got some GREAT deals and lots of FREE stuff this week at Kroger! Some of you already got some of this info, but in case you haven't...

1. Angel Soft TP 4pack $.99- $.50Q from 6/21 RP (red plum)= FREE. Coupon says on 6 roll or larger but works just fine on the 4 packs.

2. Ragu $1.20 (when you buy 10 participating items)- $.60/Q (5/17 RP)=FREE. Again coupon specifies what type of Ragu but you can use it on ANY just fine!

3. Colgate toothpaste certain kinds $1.50- $.75/Q (6/14 Smart Source [SS])=FREE toothpaste

4. Colgate toothbrushes certain kinds $1.50-$.75Q (6/14 SS)=FREE

5. Kraft BBQ sauce $.99 (or $.69 if you buy 10 participating items)-$.75Q (6/14SS)=FREE

6. Poptarts 8ct. boxes $1.61-$.55Q (I believe these were in 6/7 paper)= $.51/box

MY Kroger also had these manager specials but I'm not sure if they all will:

1. Lean pockets select varieties $1.25-$.50Q (5/17SS)=$.25

2. Edwards pie singles $1.25-$.75Q (5/10 SS)= FREE

At MEIJER:

1. Mayo $2-$.75Q (6/21 SS) + use the Meijer coupon (www.hotcouponworld.com go to resources and use the Meijer coupon generator to print these) for $1/2 meijer coupon...so you will buy 2 use 2 of the $.75/off coupon and the one meijer coupon and get 2 mayo for FREE!!

For the newbies- at Meijer and Target- you can print coupons for Meijer and Target at www.hotcouponworld.com go to "resources" and use the coupon generators to print however many you want! These can be use WITH manufacture coupons for extra savings- so you CAN USE 1 manufacturer coupon AND 1 Meijer/Target coupon for EACH item purchased!

2. Meijer Kraft dressings $1.50-$1Q (6/21 SS)= $.50 salad dressing

3. V8 fruit juice $1.66- $1 coupons (4/19 SS)= $.66 each (coupon says for V8 fusion but works FINE on these kinds as well)

4. Soft pretzels are $1.36- $.75Q (?? which paper)= FREE soft pretzels

5. Coke products 4 for $10- $1/off coupons from www.mycokerewards.com = 4 for $6

6. Kelloggs cereals large boxes $1.99- $1Q (6/7 SS)=$1.00/box

7. Poptarts 12 count boxes $1.99-$.55Q(6/7SS)=$.90/box but the Kroger deal is better deal.

HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
Buffy

PS. IF anyone needs the link to save $5 on your next 3 Giant Eagle trips- let me know I can forward it to you- you just watch a 2 minute video and enter your advantage card # at the end!"

From Linda: I watched the 2-minute video (a video about getting free gas at Giant Eagle), and got $15 free credit at Giant Eagle this week. It shows up automatically when you check out. The cashier will ask you if you want to use your $5 credit. You must have a Giant Eagle store card.

Wish me good luck with the wedding. I'm on Motrin around the clock right now to keep the my back from going into spasms every time I lift the camera!!! It might be the last big wedding I ever do if my back doesn't hold up tomorrow!

Take Care on the Journey,

Good/Bad Link Posting Removed from Blog

Ouch! It seems I sent you a link to my open mailbox account. I didn't know that was possible! But, depend on me to do the impossible! You will NOT find the link for Organic coupons because it was erased when I signed out. I hope those of you who got this by e-mail will just close out and ignore the personal link. Not that there's anything to hide, but I do have hundreds of junk mail there. lol

Time to get off this computer before it hurts me!

Free Angel Soft TP This Week with Coupon

Hi to all my family and Internet friends,

(For those who get this by e-mail, I posted a new story on my other blog titled, I Wish I Had Picked Up Your Toys. It's HERE.)

I haven't forgotten that today was new coupons day, but I've just been extremely busy since about 5:30 a.m. doing fun things for hubby for Father's Day, cooking for the family, and preparing a wedding photography list for the wedding I'll photograph next weekend!

There are several good coupons (for my family anyway) in this week's Sunday paper including a coupon for Angel Soft bathroom tissue paper for 50 cents. It costs 99 cents for a 4-roll pack at Kroger, so with the coupon doubled, this is a free item. The good news is that I have some extra coupons, so once again, it's first-come-first-served for the asking. (I already have enough free TP for the next two years!)

I believe I saw the coupons for mustard (which I don't like), but when mustard is on sale, this is a money-maker at Kroger, Meijer, or Giant Eagle. Sometimes you make a dime for each bottle purchased. Donate the mustard or pass it on the someone who uses it. Just a thought.

I've been finding Pillsbury items in the refrigerated section of Kroger for 10 cents each can on a Manager's Special! This is the second time in a week that I've found a whole lot of cans on sale for 10 cents. If you have Pillsbury coupons, this is a great money-maker. Or, simply a fantastic deal if you like them.

Granola bars have a coupon in this week's flier, so cut them out and expect the grocery stores to put them on sale in a week or two. We love these in our lunches. (And while riding the bus on long trips to nursing clinicals.)

Hopefully, everyone will find something they like. I do have extras of most coupons this week, so I'm looking forward to your e-mail requests very soon at bestnurse@usa.com

Better yet, I have a NEW I-Phone and can pick up e-mail anytime at my Yahoo account. That address is: bestmomlinda@yahoo.com (I haven't figured out how to set up the bestnurse account on my I-Phone yet.)

In the meantime, we have a quiz or test in Microbiology on Monday (tomorrow). It's the first one for this class, so we're a little nervous and I, for one, need to get off this computer and study.

Don't forget to check out my other blog (Linda's Notebook) HERE if you haven't already done so.

Have a great week!

It's True. K-Mart to Double Coupons to $2 June 7-13!

The word is that even if you call K-Mart, they won't know if they are having double coupons or not! But, I went to the online flier that starts at 0800 in the morning in my zip code, and IT says double coupons up to $2.

That means any of your $1 coupons will double to $2. Unlike our grocery stores where a $1 coupon is worth only $1. I like to stock up on pet food, small containers of laundry detergent, personal items, and bath items.

If you want to find out if your state is having the doubles, look up how to locate a K-Mart store, enter your zip code for the weekly ad and actually look at the ad online. Front page, lower part of the page should indicate coupon status.

I'm finally signing off for the night.
Sweet dreams of Good Deals and Free Meals,
~Linda

Spent 74 cents! Saved $37. Lost My Coupons!

Tonight at Kroger, I spent 74 cents and saved $37.00. Whooo Whooo!

The cashier said, "I'm going to tell my mom about you!"

I wish Buffy was in town because the Pillsbury Crescent rolls were on sale for $.10 (10 cents) each. Not only did I get a lot of rolls, (and left a lot on the shelf for someone else), but I used all my Pillsbury coupons as if I were paying full price. And, those coupons were tripled tonight! You never know when you're going to need unexpected coupons. My sister says she always carries hers in the car. I truck mine in and out, so I can keep them updated easier.

At Giant Eagle, I "tested" two different coupons. When they went through, I returned and used the rest of those coupons for the same brand of food, but not the same item. One was $1.50 off Steamfresh frozen Meals for Two on frozen Steamfresh veges that didn't say Meals for Two. (Got them for 50 cents each.) The other was for cookies. Same brand. Different cookies! Sometimes you get by with not getting the exact same thing the coupon is for, but MOST of the time you don't!

Unfortunately, I left one of my coupon containers with all my coupons in the grocery cart at Giant Eagle and didn't miss it until I got to Kroger. Frantically I dashed back to Giant Eagle, but no one had seen it. I searched all the carts outside, but it was almost dark and I didn't see it anywhere. As I was walking back to my car, I spotted it in a cart I had already looked in!!!!

Boy was I happy! And thankful, as usual.

So, it was a good ending, and happy, happy shopping.
Stay with me. We'll get some great grocery shopping done!

Buffy Provides More Electronic Savings Links

Buffy has already left us a comment in response to my posting Quadruple Your Savings alerting us to some additional places to add more electronic savings in addition to coupons! (Or even without coupons!)

I don't know if you have read the comment section of my posting, but in case you haven't, she says others are www.shortcuts.com , www.PGesaver.com , and something Kroger also has called Bringing Hope to the Table. Here is the link for that one: http://www.bringinghopetothetable.com/Sites/BringingHope/Page/HomePage

I actually loaded some items from the "table" site, but when I got to the store they weren't on sale and I was really tired, so I don't think I got that far.

Something that really helps is to make of list of what's on sale that you want to buy with your coupons, cellfire or Bringing Hope to the Table. I put the list sticking out of my purse as I walk around the store also checking for blinkies!!!!

Should any of these links not work, please do a google search for the correct links. Don't give up! Ask if you run into questions.

Hope this helps many of you enjoy shopping as a Professional Couponer!

Quadruple Your Savings! Step by Step

My friend, Buffy, has taught me a lot about saving with coupons, and I always thank her when I find great deals. (If not in person, always in my mind.)

One thing that I've been a little slow on, is getting set up with something she told me about called Cellfire. I THINK this is for Kroger stores only. I'll explain what it does, then show you step-by-step how to make it work for you. Keep in mind, I've been trying to do this for weeks!

Kroger has a website where you can load listed coupons electronically onto your Kroger store card. Then when you purchase that item, it automatically gives you credit at check out. You can still use your coupon and get double through 99 cents - or triple through 50 cents this week. Items with a coupon for more than 50 cents will simply double as usual this week, plus the addition of Cellfire if you'd added that item.

Okay, here's how it works.

With your Kroger card in hand, go to this link to register with cellfire. For some reason, you need to enter a cell phone number, your birth year, and the number from the back of your Kroger card. (They are free at the store if you don't have one.) Maybe I've made it too complicated, but this is how it worked for me.

Cellfire registration: https://www.cellfire.com/login.php?lo

The directions seem easy, but I, as usual, made it more difficult than I needed to!

You will need to add the number from the back of your Kroger card (no spaces), cell phone (xxx-xxx-xxxx), and year of birth, when asked.

After you are registered, go to Deals, and the weekly items that get extra credit should pop up. Click the ones you think you might buy (with coupons or not), and expect that amount of credit to show up on your receipt when you get that item at Kroger. (They do expire after awhile.)

For a test, I loaded Sargento (sp) cheese for 50 cents off. I had a paper coupon for that cheese also. And, it was also on sale at Kroger. When I bought the cheese, my paper coupon doubled (it was for more than 50 cents), and when I checked the receipt, the Cellfire 50 cents off was posted there also.

This week, you can do that with those tasty Betty Crocker Warm Delights (1-minute, single person, brownie) that cost $2.15 (not on sale). I used a 50 cent coupon that tripled to 1.50 off, then the deduction of 50 Cellfire cents and the total cost was 15 cents for my Warm Delight!

(I think the triple coupon deals end on Sunday.)

You can only load one Cellfire coupon for each item, so I have to go back to Kroger if I want to use Cellfire for the Warm Delights again.

Hope this helps make your shopping experience even more fun!

Kroger In New Albany (Ohio) Has Triple Coupons NOW

I'm on the phone with the New Albany (Ohio) Kroger Grocery Store, and the manager says they started triple coupons this morning! (Thursday, June 4, 2009)

That after telling me in person last night that they had no plans to do so. Urrrrr

Anyway, grab those coupons and run.

I'm on HOLD while she goes out to read her sign to see how long this will last.

Okay, she's back. She says this will go until.....She says the sign doesn't say!!!!!

She's looking someplace else and talking to herself a lot....ta ta ta dee dee dee.

"I don't know why they don't have anything saying how long this will last," she says.

"It's a miscommunication error," she says explaining why she doesn't know anything.

I'll be out of town on Friday, so anyone who reads this will need to call and ask a manager how long this will last. Sorry!

If someone (like Buffy) would kindly update us for when I get back in town, that would be great.

Happy Triples!

Free Angel Soft TP at Giant Eagle

I'm trying to stay ahead of the game, but school is really time-consuming right now! A quick check of Giant Eagle (Columbus, Ohio), starting tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, shows free Angel Soft bath tissue with the coupon from 4/19 Red Plum that was in the Sunday paper. (50 cent coupon doubles at GE, and the TP costs $10/10. You do not have to buy 10 rolls!). I may have some extra coupons to share, but honestly I'd have to look, and tonight I'm too bushed and really, really tired.

For a link on GE specials for the week, June 4-10, please click this link HERE.

If you are interested, please send me an e-mail. I'll take first come - first served.

Update on Kroger Triple Coupons

Sorry if some of you got my posting several times in your e-mail last night. Blogspot looked like it wasn't posting, but guess it was.

I called my local Kroger this morning, and the employees on duty right now say they've haven't heard of triple coupons starting here in the Columbus area but added, "Those of us working right now have been off since Sunday, so we will have to ask our manager when we get in."

I'm having to rush off to school now, but will check back later.

Kroger Triple Coupons MAY Start On June 4

(Kroger logo)
I don't like to keep giving false hope, but according to another blog, some Ohio Kroger stores have announced they will offer triple coupons starting Thursday, June 4. Here's the quote I copied from HERE.

From the blog...

"I just talked with a customer service rep from my local Kroger store (St. Clairsville, Ohio), and our store is tripling coupons up to 50 cents again this week! The event begins on Thursday. The rep I spoke with thought that the triples would go through Sunday, but she wasn't totally sure. I'm going to gather my stuff up and try to head in before then! Please leave a comment below if you know that your store is tripling. As always, call ahead to make sure that your store is participating."

Sorry Florida and other states. We'll get something good for you.

Buffy can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think up to 50 cents means that a 50 cent coupon will triple to 1.50 (and they give overage). A 35 cent coupon will triple to $1.50. If I remember Kroger, they will put most of their sale prices on Kroger products that don't use manufacture coupons, but then we all might get better deals without using our coupons!

Triple Happy Shopping!
~Linda

My friend, Buffy, sent me this in an e-mail that she enjoys me sharing here on the website. She lists the possible coupon/sales from coupons this week in the Columbus, Ohio, area. Kroger ad is sparse and nothing that excited me. There are Lunchables with drinks for $2 and there WERE coupons on www.coupons.com for $1 of these which would be a good price- but last I checked there weren't any of those left to print- but if you have them still from when they were up- good deal.

There is a catalina (coupon printed after purchase at register) If you buy 4 crystal lights (can use coupons mentioned above) you'll get coupon for $2/off your next purchase at Kroger (can be used on ANYTHING at your next purchase.). If you are at Kroger or prefer to use the Crystal Light coupons this way. OK, that's all I have for now! Buffy

From Linda...I haven't verified this yet, but I saw where you can use coupons for free Reach Dental products at Kroger. You can read all about it at this link HERE . I do have extra Reach coupons for the asking!!!!

I'll post more as Buffy so kindly sends to me. Buffy gives you the information on the good deals. I give you extra coupons. Now how nice is that?

Happy Shopping. Save some for me. LOL
